Jacqueline Jamin Drohan, Esq., B.A., M.B.A., J.D., is a founding partner of the law firm of Drohan Lee LLP and heads its New York Alternative Investments Group. Her practice includes representation of major financial services clients in areas of derivatives and commodities regulation. Before entering legal practice, Jackie had an 11-year institutional trading career as a senior capital markets dealer for banks including First Chicago International and Deutsche Bank, with trading experience in major spot and forward currencies, money market instruments, options and derivatives. Jackie is a frequent speaker at fund industry and academic conferences, and has published articles on financial economics, federal civil procedure, and commodities regulation. She is a former-rostered arbitrator for National Futures Association, member of the Global Regulatory Working Group of ACI Financial Markets Association, President of ACI Financial Markets Association, USA since 2015, former trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission for New York and serves on several corporate, non-profit, and advisory boards. Currently, she Co-Chairs the New York State Bar Association Task Force on Digital Finance and Currency and serves on the NYSBA Finance and Executive Committees. Jackie holds a B.A. from Washington University at St. Louis 1982, Master of Business Administration in Finance and Investments from Baruch College 1986, and Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School 1990, where she held the position of Comments Editor with the Brooklyn Law Review. She is admitted to practice in New York and Colorado, before the U.S. 2nd, 7th, and 10th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
