Practitioners representing clients with international holdings or activities often find issues when reviewing a client’s compliance history. Fortunately, given the complexity of global reporting, the Internal Revenue Service provides many options for rectifying a client’s previous international tax issues—with significant recent revisions to program options.
This coursewill detail common circumstances where retroactive issues arise and penalties associated with the same. The course will then detail historical and current disclosure options for prior failures, including the Streamlined Domestic Offshore Procedures, Streamlined Foreign Offshore Procedures, Delinquent International Information Return Submission Procedures, Delinquent FBAR Submission Procedures, and the services modified Voluntary Disclosure Program.
