Danie Garrie, Esq., is the Co-Founder of Law & Forensics LLC, where he heads the Computer Forensics and digital discovery Cybersecurity teams. Daniel has been a dominant voice in the computer forensics and cybersecurity space for the past 20 years, as an attorney and technologist. He is an adjunct professor at Harvard for Computer Forensics, and prior to Law & Forensics, he successfully built and sold several technology start-up companies. Since co-founding Law & Forensics LLC in 2008, Daniel has built it into one of the leading boutique firms specializing in cybersecurity and forensic engineering. He is a mediator, arbitrator, and e-discovery special master for JAMS and is a partner and head of Cybersecurity practice at Zeichner, Ellman & Krause LLP. Daniel earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in computer science from Brandeis University, as well as a J.D. from Rutgers Law School. Daniel has led cyber and forensic teams in some of the most visible and sensitive incidents in the United States. He and his team have worked globally for two of the top five banks and dozens of the largest private and public companies in the world. In addition, Daniel has been awarded several patents for advanced cybersecurity and forensic platforms he built with his team, including TableTop.AI, CustodyTrack.IO, and Forensic Scan. Daniel is also well-published in the cybersecurity space and has authored more than 200 articles and books. His work is cited by Black’s Law Dictionary 10th Ed. defining the terms 'software', 'internet', and 'algorithm'. Lastly, he has been recognized by several United States Supreme Court Justices for his legal scholarship and is a trusted source and thought leader for cybersecurity articles and opinions, cited over 500 times to date.

With her government and in-house experience, having served as chief privacy executive for two public companies, clients turn to Jeewon Kim Serrato for advice on high-stakes regulatory defense matters, complex security incident investigations, new and emerging data monetization strategies and cross-border M&A and tech transactions. Jeewon is co-lead of the Digital Transformation and Data Economy team, San Francisco Leader of the Digital Assets and Data Management Group and co-lead of the U.S. Consumer Privacy practice at BakerHostetler. Her practice focuses on guiding organizations through periods of transformation and change, whether it is driven by innovation or crisis management. She counsels clients in the areas of consumer privacy, cybersecurity, data optimization and data science. Drawing from her experience working on Capitol Hill and serving as head privacy executive for a global data broker and a publicly traded financial services company with $3.5 trillion in assets, Jeewon assists clients in pivoting their business models, accelerating growth as a new business and developing strategic acquisition, exit or divestiture plans. Jeewon understands how digital strategy and data assets can shape the direction of a business’s corporate roadmap and she advises C-suite level executives on the impact that critical business events involving technology and data can have on the employees, customers and the bottom line. Jeewon has led initiatives to design and execute compliance programs for international corporations, as well as negotiate cross-border M&A deals, and advise on high-stakes investigation and dispute matters. She has a thorough understanding of U.S. and global privacy regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Having handled and managed hundreds of data breach incidents and internal investigations, she also works with companies to prepare crisis management policies and data breach response plans. Jeewon formerly served on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee and as Inaugural Chair of the California Lawyers Association’s Privacy Law Section Executive Committee. She maintains an active U.S. Secret Clearance. She is also co-author of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) publication, Data Processing Agreements: Coordination, Drafting and Negotiation (2019) and the “International Personal Data Protection and CrossBorder Data Transfers” chapter of Privacy Compliance and Litigation in California (2021), a publication of the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), a non-profit program of the University of California.

Shannon Yavorsky is the head of Orrick’s global Cyber, Privacy & Data Innovation group and a leading authority on United States (U.S.) and European (EU) privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) issues. She is uniquely qualified in California, England, and Wales and helps global companies navigate the increasingly complex global privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence regulatory landscape. She advises public and private companies across several sectors, including life sciences and health technology, financial services, private equity, insurance, social media, and technology, on a range of EU and U.S. federal and state privacy laws. Krysta Pachman represents plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes commercial litigation, including class actions, patent cases, trademark & copyright matters, and other disputes. Ms. Pachman has a track record of obtaining trial wins, favorable settlements and arbitration victories for her clients, who range from small businesses and individuals to Fortune 500 companies. In 2021 Ms. Pachman was appointed to serve as co-lead counsel in the Blackbaud Data Breach Class Action. She will lead a class action brought over a data breach involving cloud management software firm Blackbaud. Ms. Pachman represents a class of plaintiffs who are suing Blackbaud for negligence, as well as violations of California’s Consumer Privacy Act and other state law statutes. The leadership team is being hailed as ‘most diverse leadership team ever’ in data breach class action. In the landmark copyright action, Ferrick, et al. v. Spotify USA, Ms. Pachman was an integral part of a trial team that secured a settlement valued at more than $100 million dollars, including a $43.45 million cash settlement fund and an agreement to pay future royalties to settle a class-action lawsuit with Spotify brought on behalf of music copyright owners. This case made national news, receiving press from Billboard, Forbes, and Reuters. Ms. Pachman was also part of a team that secured a $40 million settlement for a class of derivatives traders in Timber Hill v. Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., et al. Timber Hill alleged Defendants violated federal securities laws through their illicit insider trading and front-running scheme that damaged Timber Hill and other investors by artificially deflating the value of options and equity forwards traded by Timber Hill and Class Members. This is the largest ever stand-alone options settlement and the largest ever Section 20A options settlement. For these wins and more, Pachman was recognized as a Top Woman Lawyer in California by The Daily Journal. In 2021 and 2023, she was named a Rising Star of the Plaintiffs Bar by National Law Journal’s Elite Trial Lawyers (ALM) and one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the Daily Journal (Daily Journal Corp.). The Recorder named her a California Trailblazer in 2020 (ALM), and Best Lawyers called her “One to Watch, CommercialLitigation” (2021, Woodward White, Inc.). Prior to joining Susman Godfrey, Ms. Pachman served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Philip S. Gutierrez in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She also serves on the Board of Governors for the Women Lawyers’ Association of Los Angeles and serves on the Board of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
