Nate specializes in trust-based estate planning with emphasis on special needs trusts, elder law, and estate tax planning. Before joining Prior Law Firm, Nate served as a U.S. Marine and Soldier for more than 25 years. He was twice decorated for valor during combat actions in Iraq and later transferred to the Army to serve as a judge advocate. Nate became interested in estate planning when he learned one of his sons was autistic and needed a special needs trust. He could not find a local attorney to help, so he set out to do the job himself. Nate returned to school and earned a second LL.M in Wealth Management (Tax Law, Estate Planning, and Investment Advising) from Texas A&M University. In his current practice, Nate designs custom plans for estates of all sizes. He enjoys solving complex tax, business, and estate planning challenges for his clients. Nate is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Kentucky. He has a J.D. from the University of Louisville, a LL.M. in International and Operational Law from the U.S. Army JAG School, and a LL.M. in Wealth Management from Texas A&M University.
