Katelyn Dougherty is the Founding Attorney of Harbour Business Law, encompassing over a decade's worth of experience within the legal industry. Her journey began with a foundation in commercial real estate, land use, and zoning, which later expanded to encompass a rich knowledge of corporate law and trademark registrations. Her primary areas of expertise now revolve around entity formation, structuring and governance, contract evaluation and negotiation, as well as intellectual property matters, and more! Originally hailing from Maine, Katelyn relocated to Tampa, FL, in December 2007 to pursue her education at the University of South Florida, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Sociology in 2010. Subsequently, she pursued her Juris Doctorate at Barry University – Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law while concurrently serving as an Advanced Certified Paralegal, Trademark Specialist, and Office Manager at a well-known small business law firm. In her tenure at her prior law firm, Katelyn assumed the role of Firm Administrator and maintained a dual capacity, also functioning as a legal associate. This dual role allowed her to nurture her passion for both business and law, which she continued until the firm's closure in the summer of 2022. Throughout her legal career and her experiences wearing multiple hats, Katelyn cultivated a profound commitment to aiding others in the initiation and expansion of their businesses. This enthusiasm eventually propelled her to establish Harbour Business Law in 2022—a law firm operating with a holistic, client-centric approach.
