About This Course

Whether calculating the date when a client may retire, determining the feasibility of a client leaving an end-of-life bequest, or determining how much one needs to save for college, financial practitioners are utilizing time value of money concepts. Even though these concepts are pervasive in nearly everything a financial professional does, many do not feel comfortable with the mechanics or theory behind these calculations.

Utilizing real-world financial planning examples, this course will explore time value of money concepts. We will discuss the theory and mechanics behind common valuation models and utilize them in a unique application of the time value of money – determining the value of a business.

Who Should Attend:

CPAs and financial advisors who want to better apply the time value of money concepts to common financial planning and valuation issues.
