Her field of expertise includes the spectrum of conventional and distressed real property issues for both residential and commercial properties, foreclosure defense, short sale transactions, sales out of decedent’s estates, and personal and land trusts. She has been named a Leading Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers Network since 2013 and in 2019 was named one of the top ten residential real estate lawyers in Illinois.  She has also been named a Super Lawyer for 2017 through 2022. She is AV rated by Martindale Hubble Her involvement within her community and profession includes serving as president of the Association of Foreclosure Defense Attorneys (Founder), ISBA Real Estate Section Council (past chair), and Assembly, and on the Board of Directors of Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. She regularly speaks at continuing legal education programs on real estate issues. The North Suburban Bar Association sponsored her as one of seven attorneys on the drafting committee for revisions to the Multi-Board Contract. As a columnist for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, She writes about local and national Real Estate issues.  Erica was recently named to the Plan Commission for the Village of Skokie.
