In this course, we will learn about the numerous inflation-adjusted items that impact various provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations. This course will discuss the inflation adjusted-items, as presented in the selected Revenue Procedure (i.e., Rev. Proc.) and Notice pronouncement. For the purposes of determining the annual increases to the inflation-adjusted items, course participants will have the ability to compare the current and prior year amounts.

Shaun James has approximately 20 years of experience in public accounting and federal government. His professional experience primarily includes interpreting financial accounting standards under U.S. GAAP and applying federal income tax rules for partnerships, S corporations and individuals. Shaun is currently employed at the IRS as a Subject Matter Expert in LB&I’s Methods of Accounting and Timing Practice Network. Shaun also worked as an adjunct instructor teaching federal income tax and accounting courses at Baruch College, City University of New York. Shaun James is a New York State licensed Certified Public Accountant. He earned a bachelors degree in accounting from Susquehanna University and obtained a Masters in tax from St. John’s University.
